Honda family celebrates Foundation Day of Manesar plant

• Over 8000 Associates and family come together as one big and happy Honda family

Manesar, Dist Gurgaon December 22, 2013: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI), the second largest 2Wheeler Company in India today celebrated its Foundation day of its Manesar plant (District Gurgaon, Haryana) at the Calista Farm, Kapashera.

The annual event celebrates the successful operations of Honda’s Manesar plant since 2001. During this period, HMSI has emerged as the Fastest Growing 2Wheeler Company in India. With the continued efforts of HMSI Associates at the plant, HMSI has been able to fully utilize its annual production capacity of 16 lac units of the Manesar plant.

Over 8000 Honda Associates and their family members present together celebrated the Foundation Day of Honda’s Manesar plant as a united and happy Honda family.

Speaking at the Foundation Day celebrations, Mr. Keita Muramatsu, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, “We want to be a Company that Society wants to exist. Our Associates are our most valuable asset. I congratulate our Associates for contributing to the success of Manesar plant since its 13 years of operations. I am sure that with your dedicated efforts we will take Brand Honda to greater heights in future too.”

Mr. Harbhajan Singh, Vice President – General & Corporate Affairs, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Starting on an auspicious note with Ganesh vandana, the Foundation Day celebrations saw a healthy dose of Bollywood glamour, bhangra performances and fun activities for family. The scintillating performance by Shradha Sharma, who danced to popular Bollywood songs, energized the afternoon. The stand-up comedy act by Rajiv Thakur (of Comedy Circus) took the fun and laughter to a different level altogether and the crowd kept on asking for more. Lending more Bollywood glamour into the stage was the young Indrani Patra (of the Dance India Dance fame) who danced to popular Bollywood songs.

During the day, Honda Associates showed off their dancing skills in special Bhangra and Western dance performances. The event also saw an array of activities organized for entire family. These included the special Kids Zone and mehendi stalls for women. The winners of painting completion were given attractive prizes. Rounding off the event was the surprise lucky draw of Rs. 10,000 for Associates.
