New Delhi, January 5, 2012 – Entering a New Era in India, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI), the only two-wheeler company of Honda in India has announced its plans to aggressively expand its presence through India specific Brand Identity and various new launches at India’s largest automobile event Auto Expo 2012. India Specific Brand Identity unveiled Aligning with Honda’s global vision and recognizing India as the center of global two-wheeler business for the coming times, HMSI has adopted Honda’s global brand slogan ‘The Power of Dreams’ in India. Honda will expand its two-wheeler business in India and make its customers’ dreams come true by rapidly expanding production, launching cutting edge products at reasonable prices using Honda’s indigenous expertise in Research, Development and Design, and consistently delivering best quality service. The power of Honda’s dreams will continue to lead to new insights and technologies in motorcycle and other fields of mobility. Honda will spread the philosophy of ‘The Power of Dreams’ across India. A country where a billion people carry dreams in their hearts, the spirit of The Power of Dreams will be brought alive by Honda’s India specific Brand Identity “Sach Kardenge Sapne”. The slogan expresses Honda’s vision and our intentions towards the future: ‘To share our dreams with others and make them a reality’. 7 All New Products Unveiled
At the Auto Expo, HMSI gave a glimpse of its upcoming product strategy by unveiling 7 new India specific two-wheelers across all motorcycle and scooter segments. These include the much-awaited 110cc mass motorcycle Dream Yuga, sporty performance motorcycle CBR 150R, new 2012 model of CB Shine, new 2012 model of CBR 250R (new color) in mass production motorcycles; New 2012 model of Dio in automatic scooter and VT 1300CX, new CBR 1000RR Fireblade in big bikes portfolio.
Also displayed at the Auto Expo stall is Honda’s rich global heritage. For the first time in India, Honda’s iconic and successful first mass-production motorcycle launched in 1949 “Dream D” will be displayed at the Expo. Also on display is the RC 212V – Honda’s stellar MotoGP bike on which rider Casey Stoner has won the World MotoGP Triple Crown for Team, Rider and Constructor’s title in 2011. Fun, Safety & Environment Reinforcing its commitment towards becoming a Responsible manufacturer that Society wants to exist; Honda will promote Fun, Safety and Environment at the Auto Expo, 2012. The highlight for FUN EXPANSION shall be led by The Racing zone created to showcase Honda as the Champions of Racing through the Moto GP Triple Crown victory (Constructor, Team & Rider). In the outside area a special demonstration by trial bikers from Spain – Mr. Amos Bilbao Gonzalez & Mr. Francesc Moret Clota – who shall wow Indian audiences with thrilling ride sequences. Expanding fun culture among audiences is the highly popular Gymkhana and slow riding contest. At the Auto Expo 2012, Honda is promoting SAFETY through both theory (road safety education and training to spread healthy road sense) and practical approach. There is an opportunity for all ages - CRF 50 and first aid training for kids, riding stimulator training for new riders and an exclusive safe riding activity for females. Honda follows Green factory, Green suppliers & Green dealer policy to preserve ENVIRONMENT for future generation. At the Auto Expo 2012, HMSI shall also display its highly fuel-efficient and environment-friendly corporate efforts in form of an AV Design corner Another hallmark of all Honda pavilion is the Design corner. The design corner at the display area showcases design excellence and differentiator of Honda in India against the competition. Honda believes in turning the dreams of its customer worldwide into reality. The following are on display at the Design Corner: “Actual Clay Model” of the New Dio; “Sketch” of the New Dio; Real time Sketch demonstration of Motorcycle in presence of the crowd. Through the Design Corner, Honda wants to establish the high localization level of designing by showing clay model of the latest Indian product and the Indian team demonstrating sketch preparation in presence of the crowd.
